What you see above is a rendering of what a revived BMW Isetta could look like. While it may have been a shot in the dark a few months ago when it was rendered, following BMW’s revelation that it is studying new options for urban vehicles, the idea is back on the table.

The production rate has fallen beneath demand on the Bugatti Veyron. Production is nearing 100 and will increase production more.

The Bugatti Veyron does everything with effortless speed. Except, that is, for production, the rate of which is painstakingly slow. So slow, in fact, that the crown jewel in the Volkswagen empire is having trouble meeting demand. Since the hyper-exotic supercar’s debut in 2005, Bugatti has steadily had to ramp up production, which started at 50 and is (in true Veyron style) rapidly approaching twice that. Arriving at the same crossroads yet again, the company has announced that it will once more increase output from its Molsheim, France, workshop.

Aston Martin’s Vantage GT2 will debut in the La Mans Series at Barcelona, but pictures were released ahead of time.

It has been quite a while since Aston Martin teased us with an illustration, but now we have the first full blown pictures of the Vantage GT2. – completing the British Manufacturer’s portfolio of GT race cars: GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4. The latest car from Aston Martin Racing has been designed to be run on both standard fuel and E85 bio-ethanol fuel thanks to the successful conversion of the DBRS9 last year further enhancing Aston Martin’s green credentials.

The Audi R8 open-top version will launch in competition with the 911, sporting a V12 diesel complete with both coup and targa styles.

Audi will next year launch this open-top version of its R8 supercar. The Spider is one of a growing choice of R8s – buyers bored of the default 911 will soon be able to pick between two petrols and a V12 diesel, plus coupe or targa bodystyles. It’s typical of a car maker not exactly afraid of baffling buyers with extensive choice of engine/gearbox/driven wheels even in its most humdrum ranges.
